Beauty Clinic Feature | Ashleigh Scott Facialist

Ashleigh found that after working in Auckland as a Beauty Therapist for several years, she was becoming dissatisfied with the industry. She shares: "I loved doing facials – always have, but I found the focus had become solely focused on machines and lasers. A facial was no longer about touch but about getting an instant result and letting a machine do all the work."
When she moved to London she took up a position as a Facialist in a discreet Knightsbridge clinic. She spent two years at this small, and exclusive salon, where she was mentored and learnt from the very best in the industry. Ashleigh explains "I learnt that you do not need to use machines to create amazing results and what a powerful tool hands are when incorporated with the very best products. We have to ability to really change the skin, but in a slower more progressional way, all the time working on keeping skin in the best possible health."
It is this technique that she now practices, back in Auckland, in her clinic and has passed on to her facialist Rebekah. They don’t use any needles or machines, just their hands along with the very best products to create a facial the way a facial should be - hands on.

Ashleigh brought Rebekah into her team at the beginning of 2015, and spent three months training and mentoring her in her own technique. Rebekah didn’t come from a beauty background, and has completely re-trained in this field. But having suffered from skin disorders herself, she has a real passion for skin and treating clients holistically. Based in the City Works Depot in Auckland’s CBD this isn’t your typical ‘beauty salon’. A concrete and steel shell, softened with plywood walls and lots of greenery, they have worked with and embraced the industrial feel! Offering only facials, all treatments are bespoke and customized for each individual client and skin. |
Ashleigh shares "We work with the wonderful natural brands Janesce and Bestow Beauty,
as recently featured in Viva, Next Magazine, Fashion Quarterly, M2Woman, Woman’s Day and Remix Magazine".
