Pretty bold right, but that is exactly what this one little word did for me. It’s only a small 3 letter word, a pretty boring one too, but the impact that it has had on my life has been nothing short of a miracle.

This one word has meant that I have an amazing marriage, I’m healthy, I have a successful business with amazing clients, I’m spiritual, I’m happy and have cool kids that inspire me every day to be more and improve my life.

Now that’s not to say that everything is perfect, challenges still come up, after all I am human, but I certainly love the life I have created.

So here’s the thing, I really would put a lot of those amazing things coming into my life down to this one word that I learnt about so many years ago.

You see most people don’t understand the true depth of this word and what it could change in their life. They choose not to use this word because either they don’t believe that it is possible to really USE this word in their life, or they are not even aware that they can you use this word to create a business and life that they truly desire!

It is a word that is transformational, but only if you choose to embrace it and use it, and live it in your life.

It was actually my first business mentor that taught me about this word back when I was just 24 years old, and I am so grateful that I went to that event where he talked about this, because I too had no idea that it was a possibility to use this word and change your life.

So what is this word and could it have the same impact on your life?
The word is ‘AND’

Yes, I did warn you that it was a boring 3 letter word! BUT let me explain how this can change your business and life.

This word is about shifting your mindset ever so subtly with this small change.

You see many people in life believe in the “OR” mindset.   You can be wealthy OR you can be healthy You can have an amazing relationship with your partner OR you can have a successful business You can be happy OR you can be wealthy You can be healthy OR have fun You can be spiritual OR you can be wealthy

 

Now here is where you have a choice, you can believe in the OR mindset, or you could change that to an AND mindset where you can have both (or all) sides.   You can be wealthy AND you can be healthy You can have an amazing relationship with your partner AND you can have a successful business You can be happy AND you can be wealthy You can be healthy AND have fun You can be spiritual AND you can be wealthy

As you can see it is just a small change with this 3 letter word, but the impact this can have on your life can be massive.

I used to believe, like many people, that the way the world worked was with the OR mindset, and so I lived my life by it. I wasn’t aware of it, that was just the way I had been conditioned by society as I grew up.
So for many years I sacrificed the success of our business because I didn’t think I could have a successful marriage and a successful business. Having a successful marriage was really important to me and so that is what I “Choose” in my ‘OR’ world.

What that first business mentor opened my eyes to was that I had a mindset block (or limiting belief) that was not actually true – it was my truth and so that is what was showing up in my life – my marriage was great, but our business was going backwards fast! By being aware that I was choosing an OR mindset I could then change that to an AND mindset, and immediately things began to change in my life. Instead of limiting myself to only having 1 area in my life that was going good, I could now be open to the possibility that ALL areas in my life could be AMAZING! I was at a gathering recently when someone said about one of the kids there, “I hope she doesn’t grow up and get a boyfriend as a teenager so that she can be wealthy and successful”. To them, their truth in that moment was that if you have a boyfriend in your teenage years then that is going to send you off track and you can’t succeed in life and be wealthy.

That is a classic example of having an OR mindset in this area, but my truth coming at it with an AND mindset is that this kid can grow up and experience the fun of having a boyfriend, of being in that cool teenage love place and still have a happy, wealthy and successful life. It doesn’t have to be one or the other, it can be BOTH!

There really are so many ‘OR’ beliefs that people tell themselves and shifting to an ‘AND’ mindset could certainly have a huge impact on your business and life.
