Launch Your Beauty Career with the South Island’s Premiere Beauty Training Organisation

Founded in 1985 by qualified beauty therapists Noel Turner and Don Kendall, The National School of Aesthetics (NaSA) continues to provide the industry with high-quality, internationally-qualified beauty therapists, nail technicians and spa therapists. Between 2003 and 2013, for example, 92% of NaSA graduates surveyed found work in the beauty therapy industry or continued to study in the industry or a related industry. As of 2014, NaSA remains the only CIDESCO-Approved beauty therapy school in the South Island, and our team of experienced tutors help our students achieve and succeed to this internationally-superb level. In our 2013 NZQA External Evaluation and Review report, NZQA were “highly confident” of NaSA’s educational outcomes and “capacity to self assess”, making us a Category 1 Provider.
As of 2013, there were only 2 other tertiary education organisations in New Zealand rated Category 1 with “highly confidents” issued in both areas.

Also in 2013, the New Zealand Association of Registered Beauty Therapists awarded NaSA owners Noel Turner and Don Kendall the “Contribution to the Industry” award for their “significant contribution to the development of the beauty industry in New Zealand” through education. Both Noel and Don still play an active day-to-day role in the school to this day.

Through the South Island’s longest established beauty therapy training programmes, NaSA has launched the beauty careers of thousands of qualified beauty therapists, nail technicians, and spa therapists and continues to produce high-quality graduates for the industry today.
